A first look at COVID-19 information and misinformation sharing on Twitter - Tweet Quality Data Collection
- To study the difference between high- and low-quality sources used to support Tweets, researchers separated sources that the selected Tweets could be traced back to into two groups
- High quality health sources (HQHS) included information from the CDC, top medial journals and hospitals, US government agencies providing official health recommendations
- Low quality misinformation sources (LQMS) included sources that NewsGuard identified as troublesome and spreading false information
