Academic Stress: Disengaged Coping Strategies

Disengaged coping strategies appear to be a maladaptive form of coping and have been correlated with more issues down the road such as greater amounts of stress and the development of anxiety and/or depression. These strategies include: Confusion, rumination, concealment, self-pity, and escape.
