Adobe Software

Photoshop

This software allows for image re-coloration. The service provides users with a "curve" that describes as-is lighting and coloration of photos. Users are then able to manipulate the curve to change an image's filter appearance. This is often used in portrait photography for airbrushing to create a cleaner finish of the subject's skin.

Lightroom

This software is used for video editing. Users import an uncut digital film and are able to trim pieces together, layer with other imported videos, add title cards, manipulate sound, and add coloration changes. This system is considered a professional level editing tool, hence the name, and is utilized by many major editing companies for feature films

Premiere Pro

This software, like Premiere Pro, is used for video editing. This difference is that After Effects dives deeper into the types of editing tools available. This service allows for greater manipulation of the video interface itself and permits special effects and minimal animation. This is often used alongside Premiere Pro for more dynamic, specialized shots

After Effects

This service allows for creating compelling, vector art and illustrations. It allows for grand designs on both Desktop and iPad versions. This is often used alongside Photoshop for placing smaller, Photoshop made graphics into larger-scale art or posters

Illustrator

Adobe XD is used by UX and UI designers for creating interfaces of websites, apps, and other mobile software platforms. It allows for prototyping, collaboration among users, and manipulation of voice, graphics, coloration, and sizing.

Acrobat

This service is used mainly for creating posters, layered art, layouts, and formats using text, images, or digital art created on other Adobe platforms. This is often time used by publications for formatting their articles and images into a printable layout.

InDesign

Adobe's design system across platforms is called Spectrum.  The principles of the Spectrum design system are Rational, Human, and Focused.
