Although CBT appears to be affective in treating the ADHD symptoms in patients with this comorbidity, evidence suggests that it may not be as effective in treating their anxiety symptoms. Studies have demonstrated the possibility that the ADHD might interfere with certain CBT treatments and prevent it from being effective in improving anxiety disorder symptoms.
