ADHD and Anxiety Comorbidity: Pharmacotherapy/Medication Treatment
Although CBT is effective in improving ADHD symptoms, it is common for patients with comorbid anxiety to require medication in addition to CBT in order to improve their anxiety symptoms. Common medications include Methylphenidate (MPH), Atomoxetine (ATX), and Serotonin Selective Reuptake Inhibitors (SRI).
