Airborne Transmission of Infection

Agent spread through food, water, biologic items/fluids, and fomites that passively carry a pathogen or in which a pathogen actively grows or multiplies.

Vehicles Transmission of Infection

The infectious agent carried and spread by organisms such as mosquitos, fleas, and ticks. The pathogen can be merely carried by the vector or can undergo a biologic process by the vector before being transmitted.
