Analysis of a Bakery's Production Change

A small artisan bakery initially has each of its three bakers perform every step of the bread-making process: mixing ingredients, kneading dough, shaping loaves, baking, and packaging. To increase output, the owner reorganizes the workflow. Now, one baker is solely responsible for mixing and kneading, a second baker only shapes the loaves and manages the ovens, and the third baker handles all the cooling and packaging. Analyze the economic consequences of this change. In your response, identify the core economic principle being applied and explain at least two distinct reasons why this new system is likely to increase the total number of loaves produced per day.
