Analysis of Production Cost Trade-offs

A firm is producing 100 metres of cloth and can choose between two technologies. Technology B requires 4 workers and 2 tons of an energy input. Technology E requires 10 workers and 1 ton of the same energy input. Given a wage of £10 per worker and an energy price of £20 per ton, explain why Technology B is the more cost-effective choice despite Technology E using less of the more expensive energy input.
