Analysis of the national SARS-CoV-2 PCR testing and hospitalization database
By July 10 397,577 people had been tested for COVID-19 (14.2% of population of Qatar). 110,986 tested PCR-positive (4.0% of population), which yields a positivity rate of 27.9%. This rate increased and peaked on May 22, after which it has been declining and was 17.8%. on July 9. Males were 1.6 fold more likely to test PCR-positive, and Nepalese and Bangladeshis were most likely to test PCR positive.
