Analyzing Production Efficiency

A small bakery has a fixed number of ovens and mixers. As the owner hires more bakers, the total number of loaves of bread produced per day increases. However, the owner notices that while the second baker added more to the total output than the first, the fifth baker added far fewer loaves to the total output than the fourth baker did. Using your understanding of production principles, explain why the additional output from the fifth baker might be less than the additional output from the fourth baker.
