Analyzing the Determinants of a Payoff

Imagine two farmers, each deciding independently whether to plant corn or wheat. The profit (the payoff) each farmer makes at the end of the season depends on what they both chose to plant, due to the effects on market supply and price.

Analyze why you cannot determine one farmer's final profit by knowing only the crop that farmer chose to plant. In your answer, explain the relationship between the individual choices, the combined outcome, and the resulting benefit for that single farmer.
