The cognitive and behavioral issues seen in persons with Fragile X Syndrome are similar to signs and symptoms of ADHD and autism (ASD), including:
- Anxious symptoms
- Hypersensitivity
- Impulsivity
- Delayed language development
- Intellectual disability ranging from mild to severe
- Shyness
- Poor eye contact
- Hand flapping and/or biting
