Digital technology is being used in tracking, screening for infection, contact-tracing, self-isolation and clinical management in South Korea as well as other countries. Big data and artificial intelligence have helped in the process of facilitating preparedness for the pandemic and tracking of cases globally. Several countries have been able to see lower mortality rates through the use digital technology. Examples of technology implemented to help in this pandemic are real-time monitoring of wearable devices, security cameras, digital thermometers and machine learning.
