Artifactual Literacy
Artifactual Literacy is the ability to interpret records and assess their value as evidence. It also doubles as the practice of "Criticism, analysis, and pedagogy that reads texts as if they were objects and objects as if they were text". This is a method by which to discern information from a source as studied and researched or if it is misleading.
