Atkins Case: Legal Misconduct and Resentencing

Atkins was initially given an execution date but received a stay of execution when legal misconduct was revealed. Lawyers for a co-defendant had coached the co-defendant to produce testimony against Atkins that matched the evidence. Following the revelation of this misconduct, Atkins was resentenced to life imprisonment.
