Mustafa has said, "Like Adam in knowledge,

نور چشم مصطفی و مرتضی 
شمع جمع انبیاء واولیا
جمع کرده حسن خلق و حسن ظن

در مروت چون جهان پرپیچ دید 
خواست تا جمله ببخشد هیچ دید
جد وی کز وی دو عالم بود پر 
ساختی خود را برای او شتر
در نمازش بر کتف بنشاندی 
قرة العین نمازش خواندی
این چنین عالی اب و جد کان اوست

زهر را با جد خود شد این پسر

## English translation
The light of the eyes of Mustafa and Murtaza,
The candle of the gathering of prophets and saints,

He had gathered good character and good thoughts,
All his actions were good (Hasan) like his name.

His face amidst his hair like a crow's feather,
Like a sun, all eyes and light.

In generosity, since he saw the world full of twists,
He wanted to forgive everything, but saw nothing.

His grandfather, with whom the two worlds were full,
Made himself a camel for him;

In his prayer, he would seat him on his shoulder,
And called him the comfort of the eyes of his prayer.

Such exalted father and grandfather are his,
The whole horizon is his student learning the alphabet.

This son shared poison with his grandfather,
That other one shared murder with his father.

That lip which drank the milk of Zahra,
Mustafa would kiss that lip repeatedly.

How can one endure that poison,
How can one turn a liver to blood by this wrath.

Although they repeatedly asked the name of his enemy,
He remained silent and, though his body was killed, kept the secret in his heart.

He drank that poison and did not inform (on the killer),
He gave his life and did not cease his self-sacrifice.

The poison went down and from above,
Overthrew the liver of that piece of the Prophet's liver.

Piece by piece, blood fell from his liver,
Until his soul departed in blood.

A hundred places on him turned red from his life's blood,
Woe to anyone who had a hand in the blood of his life.
