Auditory Stimulation During Pregnancy

An expectant mother is 22 weeks into her pregnancy. She reads online that talking and playing music to her unborn baby can be beneficial. However, she is skeptical and asks you, a student of developmental psychology, if there is any scientific basis for this practice at this stage of her pregnancy.
