Background of COVID-19 Patients with IBD

  • 79 COVID-19 patients with IBD in total
  • Patients had an established diagnosis of Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis for at least 6 months and had either a confirmed or likely diagnosis of COVID-19
  • Confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis was detected by PCR of a nasopharyngeal swab (49 patients)
  • Likely diagnosis was made for a patient who was exposed to an infected person and exhibited three of the following signs/symptoms: fever, cough, dyspnoea, dysosmia, dysgeusia, or CT scan showing infected lungs (30 patients)
