Background of the mental health study from Texas Institutions

Mental health issues are a major factor which affect students success at college/universities. Anxiety is a problem that is on the rise for college students at the Texas A&M University as well as other universities around the nation. The COVID-19 pandemic sheds new light on the focus of mental health on different populations that were affected. Some common stressors due to the pandemic include fear and worry, constraints on physical movement and social activities due to quarantine. A study done by the university system at Texas measures stress of students on the Perceived Stress Scale-10 (PSS).
