Bacterial Interactions with Plants

Bacteria form unique beneficial or pathogenic relationships with plants. For example, bacteria living on plant roots or leaves get nutrients from the plant and produce protective substances against pathogens, while other bacteria function as plant pathogens, using infection mechanisms similar to those affecting animals and humans.
