Benefits of displaying linked concepts
Visually displaying links between concepts can allow readers to more easily interpret the relationship between concepts in what they are reading. The value of this could depend on how it is arranged (e.g. what are the citeria for lining concepts). Nevertheless it would remover the challenge of the reader having to constantly pick up written cues to relate something being read to something read paragraphs or pages earlier.
