Changing one’s mindset on accommodations being purely a benefit for workers with disabilities can serve to show that the company supports the needs of all employees and works to promote a better person-job/person-organization fit. Furthermore, employees are able to recognize that they benefit more from an inclusive workplace.

Many of the indicated concerns can be mitigated given proper training of managers an employers. Employers can undergo development programs provided by many local organizations (Hire for Talent, EARN, etc.) supporting the employment of people with disabilities. Employers can also work to dispel assumptions of resentment by coworkers by holding discourse concerning accommodations.
