There are multiple benefits of using the paper and pen method because the examiner spend time with the examinee. It also takes a long time to complete.

the study focused on patients with gliomas, they tested them before and after surgery. They had a series of questions that the patients had to answer, and their results were graded at the end. Then those results were compared to the average healthy adult answers.

The types of tests performed on different brain tumors depend on the part of the brain that they effect the most. for example, a tumor that would effect memory, would have test that explore verbal and non-verbal memory, working memory, recall memory, prospective memory, etc.
