Biological Transmission Example

An infected animal capable of pathogenic transmission from one host to another. Arthropod examples: Mosquitos (transmit malaria) and lice (transmit typhus). Non-arthropod examples: Mammals (rabies) and chickens (avian influenza)

Biological Vector

Pathogenic transmission from host to host through a biological vector. These vectors are usually arthropods and transmit via biting.
