Briere and Conte (1993) Study on Forgotten Abuse

Evidence supporting the concept of repressed memories includes a large-scale 1993 study by John Briere and Jon Conte. Their research involved 450 adults receiving treatment for childhood sexual abuse and found that a significant majority, 59%, had at some point forgotten their traumatic experiences.
