Calculating Greta's Opportunity Cost for Wheat

To determine Greta's opportunity cost of producing wheat, we calculate the number of apples she must forgo. Since she can produce either 1,250 apples or 50 tons of wheat, the opportunity cost for each ton of wheat is the total number of apples divided by the total tons of wheat: $1,250 \text{ apples} / 50 \text{ tons} = 25$ apples per ton.
