Current evidence suggests that it is unlikely for the virus to spread through breast feeding. Breast feeding also provides much of nutritional value that a baby may need. For safety purpose, one may not use a shared pump. The mother must use a separate pump and make sure it is clean every time it is used. No one should put the mask on the baby as it may cause suffocation.
