Manipulating a worker’s regular or sporadic plans and managing working time.

Example:
- trying to set a strict working time, a start time and a finish time for work, to fully focus on work in those hours, and then stop working and enjoy leisure hours

 Controlling Work Time

Removing oneself from work-home demands for a short or significant amount of time, such as by having breaks or going on vacations.

Examples:
- getting away from workstation by going for a walk
- taking lunch breaks

Finding Respite

Taking the mind off work by actively doing things and managing the time one does not work.

Examples:
- disconnecting completely when finish working by silencing work groups on smartphone and trying not to look at the messages
- putting laptop and other work essentials away and not seeing them when finish working 

Purposefully Disconnecting

Working while family members are not around or asleep to avoid distractions. 

Examples: 
- getting a couple of hours in before other family members awaken to prevent interruptions that may occur during the day 
- doing housework before starting to work, so one won’t be distracted by it when working
