Many cryptocurrencies are looking to implement bulletproofs instead of range proofs to help reduce transaction size and improve scalability, a move Loki is looking to make as well.

RingCT uses range proofs to prove the amount of a transaction is between 0 and 2^64, ensuring only non negative amounts of currency are sent, without revealing the actual amount sent.
