Childhood Trauma effects on Older Adults

It has been discovered that childhood trauma survivors, due to either sensory reminders or anniversaries of the event(s), experienced later in life a recurrence of event memories with such an intensity and clarity similar to the actual event. Additionally, a comparison of older adults with childhood physical and sexual abuse histories and those without observed a higher risk of later poor physical and mental health.
