Choosing the Appropriate Scale for Data Visualization

Imagine you are a researcher analyzing the price of a new technology over 30 years. In the first year, the price was $10,000 per unit. After 30 years, the price has dropped to just $10 per unit. You want to create a single graph to clearly visualize the rate of price change over the entire period. Explain why using a standard linear scale for the price axis might be problematic for this visualization, and how a ratio (or logarithmic) scale would solve this problem.
