College Students' Reported Most Effective Disability-Related Services
The most effective service reported by students (43%) was the extended time for exams. Other services found to be the most effective were the alternative testing environments, interprets/translators, mental health support services, and assistive technology. Other positive comments included the appreciation of institutional support, the ability to achieve a grade “reflective of [their] capabilities outside of [their] disability", appreciation for more processing time during exams, and the presence of services reducing stress, anxiety, and depression.
