Research has indicated that if the supervisor maintains a high level of communication during the training program with the employee, the employee will most likely increase their competency and job performance.

 Supervisors have the responsibilities of leading the subordinates in their group tasks. Supervisor support is essentially the extent to which leaders value and care about their employees well being. Three ways in which supervisor support can contribute to employees performance are communication skills, commitment, and being able to enhance the employees behavior.

In order for the employees performance to improve both parties ( employee and supervisor ) need to commit to the relationship. If full commitment is given, it will yield a positive result to the employees performance.
