Comorbidity in Disinhibited Social Engagement Disorder
Conditions associated with neglect may be comorbid with this disorder, including cognitive delays, language delays, and stereotypies. Autism spectrum disorder may also be present. In young children and those in middle childhood, the condition often co-occurs with ADHD and externalizing conditions, possibly due to commonalities in reduced inhibitory control.
