Comorbidity of Eating Disorders and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: Thought Shape Fusion
TAF has been associated with more severe eating disorder symptoms in individuals with an OCD and eating disorder comorbidity. There is also a possibility that TAF plays a role in eating disorders. This variation of TAF, known as Thought Shape Fusion, suggests that the excessive concern about their weight and body shape leads to the belief that their thoughts can actually have an impact on their body.
