Comparative Analysis of Bargaining Power

Consider two separate negotiation scenarios. In Scenario A, a single, highly specialized engineer is negotiating a salary with a large tech firm that desperately needs their unique skills for a critical project. In Scenario B, one of many recent graduates with a common business degree is negotiating a salary for an entry-level position at a popular company that has received hundreds of applications. Analyze the distribution of bargaining power in each scenario. Explain how the division of the economic surplus (the value created by the employment agreement) is likely to differ between Scenario A and Scenario B, justifying your reasoning.
