Comparing Production Technologies Based on Cost Structures

A manufacturing firm is considering two different production technologies. Technology A has a constant marginal cost of production, represented by the function MC_A(Q) = $50. Technology B has an increasing marginal cost of production, represented by the function MC_B(Q) = 2Q. Assuming there are no fixed costs for either technology, analyze and compare the total cost of production for both technologies as output (Q) increases. In your response, discuss which technology would be more cost-effective at low levels of production versus high levels of production, and explain the mathematical reasoning behind your conclusions.
