Compassion-focused therapy is an integrated psychotherapeutic approach designed to train individuals in cultivating inner safeness, developing a self-generated internal soothing system, and replacing shame and harsh self-criticism with qualities such as self-kindness, self-understanding, contentment, and gentle self-care.

Compassion-focused Therapy

Self-compassion entails being warm and understanding toward ourselves when we suffer, fail, or feel inadequate, rather than ignoring our pain or punishing ourselves with self-criticism. Self-compassion also requires taking a balanced approach to our negative emotions so that feelings are neither suppressed nor exaggerated. This equilibrated stance stems from the process of relating personal experiences to those of others who are also suffering, thus putting our own situation into a larger perspective. It also stems from the willingness to observe our negative thoughts and emotions with openness and clarity, so that they are held in mindful awareness rather than overidentifying with them.

Self-Compassion

An essential mood will appear after people reach purity because of spontaneity. It is seen as part of the Buddha nature that within all sentient beings. A tendency to benefit others, to reach happiness.

Primordial purity is absence and spontaneous presence is presence; they are indivisible by law. (primordial purity without spontaneity can be seen as nihilism)

-In pure awareness, know as Kayas and wisdoms(related to your buddah nature), experience take place in a way that is visible yet insubstantial. This immaterial or nonphysical quality means that the experience is something you can see but not grasp, like a rainbow

-Within this  body, your realization is equal to that of sambhogakaya. All the inconceivable adornments and sceneries belonging to sambhogakaya are then as visible as rainbows in the sky.
