Completion Standard for Electrical Service Work

All lighting, receptacle, and circuit jobs should use one completion rule: the task is finished only when the installed device or circuit works correctly and meets the required electrical code. The technician should confirm operation with an appropriate test, such as a voltage check, GFCI trip test, polarity check, or equipment run test, and should document compliance with the applicable code before closing the work order. Putting this rule in the written scope tells the customer exactly what counts as complete.
