Conditions of Infants at the NICU
One of the babies in the NICU developed an inflammation of the gallbladder and edema of its thigh. The baby was released six days after birth. One of the other babies in the NICU suffered from transient tachypnea of the newborn (TTN) and was placed on nasal- Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (nCPAP). The baby’s breathing became normal in three days and was discharged seven days after birth.
