Conflict Management Behavior in Mother-Daughter Relationships

Though causal conclusions cannot be drawn from this study, it suggests that conflict management behavior is directly related to one's perception of a relationship, rather than the actual relationship.

Daughters who used positive behavior and less negative behavior perceived their mothers to be more open communicators. On the other hand, mothers who used positive behavior perceived their daughters to not be open communicators.
