Perceived relationship quality can be defined as the way in which both mother and daughter individually see their relationship, based on the factors of conflict management and adaptability.

In general, daughters' behavior was associated directly with how they perceived their mothers' felt about them, as well as the measured amount of perceived dominance.

1. Relatively small and homogenous sample - because of this, it's harder to draw conclusions from the given sample. Additionally, everyone included in the sample were highly educated, wealthy, and had a consistent and high-quality relationship.

2. Cross-Sectional Data with the conflict interaction task - mothers and daughters were able to choose the conflict they wanted to focus on discussing, limiting the scope of the study.

Mother daughter conflicts center around conflict management, and the maturity level of conflict management. This can have an impact on percieved relationship quality.
