Corresponding Data Concerning Educational Attainment (Selection Concern #1)
- Based on the 2015 American Community Survey, between the people with disabilities and people without disabiilties groups, there are virtually identical levels for the attainment in associates degrees (27.3 v. 29.4%) but different for bachelors or higher (16.2% v. 33%).
- The 2012 Canadian Survey on Disability reveals similar data, with high school degree attainment levels being similar (80 v. 89%) and different levels in bachelor's attainment (14 v. 27%).
- Australian figures show gaps in Year 12 (41 v. 62.8%) and Bachelor's (17 v. 30.1%) attainment.
Gaps grow across education levels, but this does not explain differences in employment rate given many jobs do not require a college education.
