  • Science-based evidence and fact-checking tweets capture more engagement than merely facts
  • Tweets containing true information were 10 times more likely to be retweeted than tweets containing false information
  • Tweets disseminating information for the purposes of fact-checking and containing information supported by evidence had more retweets than tweets that simply presented factual information
