  • Twitter citation counts is most accurate for recent publications, especially on the same day as publication
  • After the initial publication day, Twitter citation counts do not increase a whole lot
  • About 3 weeks after official publication, it is better to consider the Mendeley reader counts for assessing long term citation impacts
