In many introductory economic models, it is assumed that a country's spending on imported goods and services is determined solely by its level of national income. Critically evaluate this assumption. In your answer, discuss at least one major advantage of using this simplification in an economic model and at least two significant real-world factors that this assumption ignores, explaining how they could also influence a country's import levels.
