Critiquing a Consumption Decision

An economics student, Alex, is choosing between consuming two goods. Alex states, 'I've chosen a combination of goods that is on my feasible frontier. It's also on one of my indifference curves, so I know it's a possible choice that gives me some level of satisfaction. Therefore, this must be a good choice for me.' Critically evaluate Alex's reasoning. In your evaluation, explain whether Alex's conclusion is necessarily correct, identify the specific conditions under which the choice would be suboptimal, and justify why a different choice could lead to a better outcome.
