Critiquing a Data Visualization Method

A three-dimensional bar chart is used to represent global income distribution. Countries are ordered along one axis by average income. For each country, a series of bars shows the average income for ten equally-sized population groups (deciles). While this visualization is powerful for showing both between-country and within-country inequality, critique its potential limitations. Discuss at least two specific aspects of global economic reality that this type of static, income-focused visualization might obscure or misrepresent.
