Critiquing Historical Analogies in Economics

A common analogy compares the shift of modern manufacturing firms towards data-driven, mass-customization models with the transformative changes of the historical Industrial Revolution in Britain. While this comparison is useful for understanding the scale of change, it is not a perfect one-to-one match. Evaluate this analogy by identifying and explaining at least two significant ways in which the economic and social context of today's digital transformation fundamentally differs from that of the original Industrial Revolution.
