Money

Money is an asset that serves three primary roles in an economy: it is a widely accepted medium of exchange, a store of value, and typically a unit of account for valuing goods, services, assets, and liabilities. While certain commodities can function as money, in contemporary economies, the money supply primarily consists of currency (notes and coins issued by the central bank) and commercial bank deposits.
